The story is that of nine year old Amber Haggerman who one Saturday morning went on a bike ride as she had done a million times with her 5 year old brother. When her brother returned without Amber there mother began looking for her and when nothing turned up she soon called authorities. After a frantic four day search Amber was finally found. Sadley to say she was found in a drainage ditch four miles away from her home. Her throat had been slashed and she had been found naked from head to toe exept for one white sock. Her murder is still unsolved.
After this horrible incident Ambers mother started up The Amber Alert. Now whenever a child does go missing it is broadcasted immediatley on the news, internet, freeway signs, and more. All of the information about the child and there abductor is broadcasted over the entire United States.
